The Many Faces of the Joy of Salvation

Our 2020 journey has prepared us to offer salvation with a deeper understanding and more confidence.  How could we have known that God’s love would be so desperately needed by so many millions this year?   God knew.   He’s been preparing us for a time such as this, as He did with Esther.

“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”  Esther 4:14

We can no longer remain silent.  The world needs to hear your voice speaking the love of Jesus Christ and offering salvation.

You have been prepared by God through His Word this year. You are ready. Just open your mouth and start talking.

Sanctified and Made Holy

God Has Only One Reason for Every Human Life

Are you prepared for the great harvest on the horizon?

15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.  1 Peter 3:15-16

November Bible Reading Plan

Faith in Jesus is the only answer

Having faith in Jesus can get you to heaven. Sharing faith in Jesus can get many into heaven.
Prepare to talk about faith

Mission 2020: Getting Better at The Gospel

How do you explain faith?

Our living in 2020 is God’s plan. He has positioned to share Jesus Christ with a lost and hurting world.

During October, we’ll focus on readings about faith.  Some are lessons on faith taught by Jesus.  Others, increase our understanding of faith through the Apostle Paul’s instructive letters to the church.

The best way to learn to express faith and share it with others, is to learn it from God’s Word.

Enjoy your reading.

Can you talk about sin without offending?

God’s Kind of Justice

The Silence of Justice Administered

“This is the passage of Scripture the eunuch was reading: “He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth.” Acts 8:32

The ground is level when it comes to God’s justice.

Everyone needs to be justified by God’s grace in order to receive eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Many are talking about justice these days. Some are proclaiming the world isn’t a fair place. Others speak of social justice. Many speak of equal justice under the law.

Context matters with the subject of justice.

I invite you to consider God’s kind of justice.

Only One Redeemer

Redeemer

There’s only one redeemer.  Everyone is really looking for Him.  No one wants to carry the burden of sin.  Today, more than ever, we must  prepare to share who He is and why we all need Him.

How to Hear From God Through His Word:

  1. Set a time to spend alone with God every day.
  2. Before reading, pray this prayer, or one like it. Ask God to speak to you through His Word as you are reading.

Heavenly Father, I come to you now thanking you for your Word. I open my heart and mind and ask your Holy Spirit to speak to me now, as I read. Teach me and guide me into new truth today. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

  1. Read the scripture for the day. Then, quietly listen for the Holy Spirit to speak.
  2. Write what you hear from God.

Real Images and Perspectives on Eternity

Some have a view of eternity. Many don’t.  Many have questions without answers. During the pandemic, many have considered their own mortality for the first time. Confusion is the norm for many.

Born-again believers have God’s truth. As Pentecost 2020 arrives, the opportunity to share God’s truth on eternity is plentiful.

June’s daily readings will strengthen your grip on talking about eternity. The truth that eternal life is freely available to everyone  through faith in Jesus Christ must be foremost in the hearts of believers.  Now more than ever.

Jesus asked us to sow seeds.  We do that by speaking God’s truth.

Be ready. Offer eternal life.

Someone is scared. They are waiting for you to help them find peace with God.

The Testing of Your Soul

In December, 1776, Thomas Paine wrote The American Crisis. by the author of Common Sense:

“These are the times that try men’s souls…”

Many people today may be feeling their soul is being tried. It is. For many, faith is being tested as never before. There is help and there is hope in God.

Everyone needs God more today than yesterday. Now is the time to get right with God. Now is the time to call on God’s peace and protection. Psalm 91 will bless you.
